God appointed Paul a preacher of the Gospel. The Gospel is God's gospel and thus all of Paul's preachings bore the authority of God. Paul was confident in his calling by God to preach the gospel of God for the glory of God. This should be true of all true ministers of the Gospel called by God, even in the midst of suffering.
